TAKING CARE OF GREASY, LANKY HAIR IN 2010
Overall health can effect your hair’s growth and appearance. Be sure to couple a balanced diet with exercise that is sanctioned by your doctor. If you have very greasy or oily hair you can use shampoos that are made for your hair so that you can minimize some of the effects. But you can also try to eat more vitamin B and drink more water.
Some studies have indicated that sources of B-complex vitamins can be closely linked with lowering the levels of oils in your hair that make it greasy and lanky. Apparently by consuming whole grains, dairy products, nuts, eggs, legumes and green, leafy products, you can lower the greasy and lanky effects in your hair.
Fast food and other greasy, oily foods may also contribute to the levels of oils in your hair. For your overall good health, stay away from foods prepared in highly saturated oils. Go for olive oil or canola oils for healthier choices if you must prepare your foods in oil.
Drinking water also is a large factor to healthy hair. Drinking eight glasses (8 ounces at a time) throughout the day will keep your body more balanced no matter what your diet. The water can help hydrate your hair and keep your whole body healthier.
There is no magic pill that will make your hair perfect, or allow you to absorb all the nutrients you need to keep your body and your hair strong. Try to eat a variety of foods that will provide you with the vitamins and minerals you need, and ask your doctor about supplements if you do not like the results of your diet on your hair and body.
