Bridal hair pieces are the best: although they’re only worn once, they are to make a statement that compliments the dress and its wearer. It’s the only thing I like about weddings, as honestly, I’m not very into them. No, I’m not one of those weird people that don’t believe in being joined together in holy matrimony and love lasting forever. I just don’t like the idea of a wedding. I’m much more of a city hall kind of girl.

But even if I were married at city hall, I’d still want a bridal hair piece. I’ve seen some really cool ones, like encrusted combs. I saw one that was made out of seashells too, and was made in the shape of a butterfly. That was very neat; it was in an antique shop off the coast of Georgia. I wanted it just because it was so pretty, because I was still young and had no intention of wearing it.

I think tiaras are still preferred (signaling that you are, in fact, the princess you’ve always wanted to be), but some bridal hair pieces are beautiful in their simplicity. Normally they’re encrusted with rhinestones, but some also have diamonds in them. They can be combs, clips or even pins. They’re not very expensive either, depending on your tastes and whether or not you want to be reasonable about them. I’ve seen them for as little as $15.00, and for as much as hundreds or even thousands. Of course, you could always just make your own using something as simple as flowers, strings and bobby pins. That way you know you’ll be satisfied.
